Policies and Dining

Location |
Biltmore
Hotel Los Angeles. This legendary property attracts
politicians, business tycoons, and leisure travelers who are
allured by the art-deco grandeur, refined aura, and illustrious
history. Curious tourists also flutter about, and film crews
often use the hotel for a shooting location
Hand-painted ceiling frescoes by Italian artist Giovanni
Smeraldi are showstoppers, provoking many heads to be in a
perpetual upward tilt as they ponder angelic cherubs and heavenly
scenes. The art-deco indoor pool, adorned with original blue-and-ivory
tiles and polished brass ceiling, has added an adjacent fitness
club with sauna, steam room, and whirlpool.
The Millennium Biltmore has hosted a long
roster of U.S. presidents, royalty, and celebrities, and has
been a frequent filming location for movies and TV. In 1960
the lobby served as JFK’s campaign headquarters; in
1964 the refuge-seeking Beatles arrived on the rooftop via
helicopter. |
