Westgate San DiegoWestgate Hotel San Diego. When you enter The Westgate Hotel, you are transported to a world of beauty, art and refinement. Built in 1970, The Westgate is considered a cultural landmark in "America's Finest City." The lobby, designed as a re-creation of an anteroom in the Palace of Versailles, showcases eighteenth-century antiques, Baccarat crystal chandeliers, French tapestries and Persian carpets. The exquisite decor is echoed throughout the hotel's 14 meeting rooms, 223 guest rooms and intimate dining areas

Whether you are planning an elegant dinner for two or hosting a group of business associates, you will delight in the artistry of our Westgate culinary team led by Chef de Cuisine Christophe Vessaire. The Westgate offers French-California fusion cuisine in the award-winning Le Fontainebleau, casual California continental fare in Cafe Westgate, happy hour with live entertainment in the intimate Plaza Bar and fresh salads, soups and sandwiches from the Westgate Wine and Gourmet Delicatessen. Traditional afternoon tea is served seven days a week in the grand lobby from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. accompanied by live harp music.
